Churchill, the nodding dog from the insurance adverts, is taking his new responsibilities as an honorary Bluecoat at Pontin’s very seriously and has now been spotted in a new role – training the Pontin’s Bluecoat Football team!

When not in training, the lovable character will be appearing on stage throughout summer in a special Party Time, a half hour show dedicated to family fun.  As well as the usual Bluecoat duties of singing and dancing, Churchill will take on the role of game show host in the aptly named “Yes/No game”.

There will be competitions to win a TV and other fun prizes, plus details of the holidays available at Pontin’s five fantastic seaside holiday parks this summer where families can enjoy top line cabaret from Same Difference, Bobby Davro, Eoghan Quigg and up to 70 free activities included.

Churchill and the Bluecoats will be appearing between 10am-4pm on each of the following dates:
Saturday 26th June – Golden Square, Warrington
Friday 2nd July – The Mall, Norwich
Saturday 10th July – Market Place, Bolton

Strawberries and cream, the smell of freshly cut grass and rainy Bank Holidays all have one thing in common; they are synonymous with the Great British summertime. But what could be more British than the traditional family holiday by the seaside at one of the UK’s fantastic and fun Holiday Parks?

After successful appearances in 22 pantomimes last year, Churchill will be donning a brand new blue coat to tread the boards on yet another stage.

Oh Yes! This summer, Churchill will be joining a long list of showbiz legends who all began their careers entertaining holidaymakers with their own unique style of song, dance and merriment. From Shane Richie to Brian Conley; Bradley Walsh to Lee Mack – that’s right, this summer, Churchill will become a Bluecoat at Pontin’s Holiday Parks.

Joining Churchill on stage throughout the summer will be a number of famous faces including Bobby Davro and X Factor stars Same Difference and Eoghan Quigg. Churchill will be performing once a week from this weekend until October at the following Pontin’s Holiday Parks from Friday 18th June:

Although now a star of stage, Churchill made his name on the small screen.  In 2009 he’s starred in car insurance adverts featuring famous friends such as Rolf Harris, Roy Walker and the beautiful Melanie Sykes.  We’ve also seen him take part in a karaoke competition, end up at an audition for Cats and attend a garden party at the palace!

And it looks as though 2010 will continue in a similar way for Churchill who has released his next two ads exclusively early online.  One shows everyone’s favourite nodding dog doing a parachute jump whilst the other sees him off skiing with Eddie “the Eagle” Edwards!

Craig Revel Horwood revels in the role of the bad guy. Whether he’s being the picky judge on Strictly Come Dancing or playing the Wicked Queen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, it seems that he’s always being booed! But Churchill’s agent Marty Hoffman spoke to him earlier this week and reported that he is a “swell guy”…

Marty: So who’s going to win Strictly?
Craig: I have no idea. That’s going to be entirely up to the audience but I think Ali and Ricky are front runners. People seem to love Chris too so I think he has got an equal chance to be honest.
There are always plenty of those voted off who should have stayed to the final because the public generally all decide for themselves who they like. No matter what the judges seem to say the public usually get their way.
There have been people that I really loved every series that go off but there is nothing you can do about that. Martina Hingis for instance was the first out although she was a really lovely dancer. But it’s equally about popularity as how good dancers they are.

Marty: Who do you think’s been the best dancer in all the Strictly series?
Craig: Alesha [Dixon] was a fantastic, brilliant dancer. Jill Halfpenny was also amazing and someone who really came from nowhere was Mark Ramprakash. I thought he was incredible.

Marty: How do you think Alesha’s done as a judge on the show?
Craig: She has well and truly settled into her new role. She was in th eline of fire a bit last weekend and she handled it really, really well. I thought her comments and critiques were very good.

Marty: And you’re in Snow White in Llandudno this year! Is there anyone you’ve been looking forward to working with? No pressure…
Craig: I’m working with Churchill who is my pet. He doesn’t require much feeding and doesn’t bark back, which I like! I also like working with children.
